I study a type of bone cancer called osteosarcoma that occurs in kids, teenagers and young adults. Confused? See The Fault in Our Stars!
Osteosarcoma worst form of bone cancer in youth and improvements in treatment for patients have remained stagnant for the past three decades especially for patients whose cancer travels to other places in their body, or metastasizes.
DNA is the language that your body uses to communicate. Epigenetics is a fancy word for things that affect your body but don't change the DNA.
Like a detective, I try to find clues that lead to identifying the 'culprits' that cause cancer and find way to take them out.

My programming skills really developed the most from my love of playing games and solving puzzles...
I started played World of Warcraft from 2006-2008, then again from 2011-2013 where my main was a holy paladin. My favorite classes were healers and I was really interested in helping other paladin players in raiding. I created a website called Paladiner detailing how our raid group had successfully killed a boss. Building off another popular app called "Simcraft" which simulates output from damage classes to optimize their gear and build, I began to develop my own app targeted towards healers using R Shiny. I would also routinely dissect fight data all using R.
